It won't let me upload a picture of Marcus' family :) I miss my in-laws as well AND all of my grandparents!.. good thing I get to see most of these people this weekend!!!!!

I'll be leaving tomorrow after work to head up to Moorhead and Hallock.. by myself :( Marcus has to work... Let's just hope weather cooperates on my travel days! I'm really excited to see everyone and catch up!

I'll try to keep updated with the blog while I'm back there and I will take lots of pictures :)

Day 28/29

Day 28: A picture of something you're afraid of

I don't think I want to put a picture of this up because it gives me the heebie jeebies... I am deathly afraid of spiders.. can't stand the whole "8 leg thing"

Day 29: A picture that always makes you smile

This stupid thing won't let me upload the picture I want to... but a picture that always makes me smile is a picture of my dad and Marcus with their backs to us. They are on the lake and catching a fish from the back of the boat. I really am lucky with how well my dad and my husband get along. It is a big deal to me if my dad approves of my significant other or not and it means a lot to me that my dad cares about Marcus. (One reason I know this is because he calls him "Marky ;)

Ultrasound

Also, I am going to upload our 20 week ultrasound pictures :) This experience was super exciting for us and the pictures are fun too! We also got a DVD, but I can't figure out how to upload it... the baby had the hiccups while we were doing the ultrasound, which was also pretty neat to watch... alright, enough talk.. here they are!

Day 23

A picture of your favorite book

I really love reading all of Nicholas Sparks' books, but this one stands out to me. It is truly a great love story and how far someone will go to keep hope alive in a relationship. I couldn't imagine having to make "a choice" like the one Travis has to make in this book - I don't think anyone could. If you haven't read this book, it is a MUST read :) Sit back, relax, and enjoy!

I'm sorry this has become more of Danielle's 30 day challenge rather than both of ours. Marcus is working late all week and I have hardly seen him. When he is home, he is working on something in the nursery or cleaning around the house. He will hopefully catch up someday... if I can talk him in to it :)

We are doing well... just keeping busy with work right now. My spring break comes up in a week and I will be heading home to Moorhead and Hallock for the week. One of my classmates is getting married, so I am excited to see old friends at the wedding! Marcus doesn't know what he is going to do without me for a week :) My mother-in-law and sister-in-law are also throwing me a baby shower in Moorhead on Sunday April 4th. Marcus and I went to Target and BabiesRUs and registered for a few things, so if you want to take a look, they are online!

Day 21/22

I wish I was better at singing! My grandma, mom, and sister all have these amazing voices that give me the chills whenever they sing... and I just don't have it :)

Today at work, we had a baby shower for my coworker Sara and her baby Maggie. It was SUCH a fun day :) After work, I got to watch Maggie while Sara was in a meeting... we had some bonding time :) We also talked about how if I have a boy, they may just be designated boyfriend/girlfriend, haha ;) Here is a picture of little Maggie sleeping peacefully!

Day 20

Marcus and I talked about this one, and we both came up with the same answer: Australia :) We would love to go to Australia just to see what it's like... it seems like a whole new world over there and it would be so interesting to see a Kangaroo!

Day 19

A picture of you when you were little

Once again, Marcus is at work and will have to add his picture later, but here is a picture of me when I was little. Marcus made the comment the other day that he hopes our child has my eyes.. big and brown :) We will see!

I also am going to update you all with a few pictures of the nursery transformation. It is ALMOST DONE!! Paint is up.. now all we need to do is touch up the ceiling and maybe add one more coat of stain to the one side of the room. I went into photoshop and put the before and after picture together as well so you can see the transformation better :)

Alright everyone, once again, Marcus' and my schedules are completely different so I figured I've missed 3 days, so I should update this... at least my part. Marcus can do his later :)

A person who inspires me is my Grandma Adrienne, and my Grandma Cathy. I know you are only supposed to pick one, but these two women have been a big part of my life since I was a baby, and they really are special to me in many ways. Both of these women have been very easy to talk to, and have never ceased to amaze me growing up. They are both very wise and their faith is insurpassable. They have both battled cancer and won! I couldn't have more faith in these two women.. and that is because of their faith throughout everything in life. They truly are an inspiration to me and I miss them very much :)

Now, I realize that this picture is of Central Middle School, but I could not find a picture of Millard Young Adult Program, and since YAP is connected to CMS, I figured this would work :) So my JOB has recently become a BIG impact on my life. I couldn't imagine not being a teacher at YAP. The year is almost over and I find that so CRAZY!! I can't believe it went by that fast. I have learned so much from my students and I just hope they have learned as much from me. They are truly remarkable young adults and I am so fortunate to have found this job my first year out of college. I couldn't see my life without it.

I'd have to say I am insecure about my knees/legs. I have always had bigger legs, but I would LOVE for them to be slimmer...

Day 15

A picture of something you want to do before you die


Marcus chose TRAVEL AROUND THE WORLD. Now, me personally, I really like this idea - cause I hope he would take me ;) But seriously, there would be so much to see, and I think it's definitely something everyone should dream.

I chose skydiving! I think it would be such a thrill to jump out of a plane! I would love if Marcus would do it with me, but considering he is afraid of rollercoasters - I'm not sure if he would do that.. haha. Here is a picture - now, obviously I would not wear a swimming suit top, but you get the picture :)

Day 13/14

Sorry I have been falling behind :) Here is an updated blog!
Marcus is currently working until 9:30/10:00pm and by that time I am already sleeping.. so I am just going to take a guess on these for him and change them later :)

Day 13: A picture of your favorite band

This one is difficult.. Anyone that knows Marcus, knows he loves music... all kinds of music... I am going to go with my first instinct and say Styx. Marcus would tell me stories about how him and his mom would listen to Styx when he was growing up and he knows EVERY WORD to EVERY SONG! He is quite the connoisseur of music... Here is a picture of them:

My favorite band is by FAR...... REO Speedwagon!!! I can't even begin to express my love for them and their music... so here is a picture :)

I LOVE k-dawg. She is absolutely, positively annoying at times(especially when she won't leave my side) but I love her. We got her from the humane society three years ago and she really is a great dog :) Here are a couple pictures of k-dawg at her finest.. Enjoy!

Marcus keeps critiquing my painting skills. (Seriously, how can you paint WRONG?;) Apparently, I'm not supposed to write messages on the wall, and then not pay attention when the paint runs... HAHA
So I told him to show me how it's done... here you go!

Day 11

A picture of something you HATE

Marcus and I both chose bad WEATHER. We absolutely HATE bad weather - I guess we are partial to that option today as we were supposed to have company last night. My sister and Dustin worked so hard to get work off to come visit us this weekend, and now here we are at 11:19am on Saturday and they are STILL stranded in Summit, SD waiting for I29 to open up... it has been closed since 6pm last night and who knows when it will open. I am soooo ticked off and annoyed with gross blizzards, I could just puke. (Marcus I'm sure feels the same way) So what are we doing today instead? Getting the nursery ready to prime, so maybe if my sister and Dustin do end up making it down here, we can maybe paint?
We can't even express our disgust with weather, so we will end that rant right here.

On a different note, I just want to say that yesterday can kiss my *ss... that's how bad of a day it was. BUT, I just want to tell my mother something, and I hope she reads this: You are one beautiful woman, inside and out. Nothing can bring you down and I love your attitude about life and what we are dealt with. You are an inspiration, and I love you :)

Day 10

A picture of the person you do the "craziest" things with

Marcus chose Matt Lee. They have been friends for a long time and now that we are living in opposite states, it is a different dynamic. Marcus still makes comments to me such as, "I miss Matt" or, "I wish Matt were here to see that." Matt and Marcus get along so well and would spend so much time together, that Megan and I would joke around telling them they act like a couple :) There are pictures of Matt and Marcus laying together in a hottub - one that I do not have on my computer :( and others of just fun, random times hanging out. I found one from our wedding that shows a little bit of their personalities when they are together and I think everyone will see that :)

If I can find more pictures, I'll put some up of these two goons :)

I chose my old roommates, Rudd, Laura, and Marie... we did some crazy things when we lived in 416. We were always together, and always busy doing something - whether it was plotting on how to get back at some girl, or guy, who had done one of us wrong, singing Celine Dion at the top of our lungs in Rudd's room (yes, we all dressed in polos and took a video), having a "no pants" party at our house (which was a success), having a superbowl party and wearing Packer gear pretending that we thought they were in the superbowl, and still to this day being best friends. I can't imagine my life without any of these girls. They were all a part of my wedding, and I hope will be a part of baby A's life as well :) Here are some pictures of us 4...
